Under standard token voting, A gets 10,000 votes and B gets 100. A controls 99 percent of the decision.
Under quadratic voting, A commits those 10,000 tokens. The square root of 10,000 is 100, so A gets 100 voting units. B commits 100 tokens, the square root of 100 is 10, so B gets 10 voting units.
A still has more influence, but the ratio has shifted from 100:1 to 10:1. This compression gives smaller holders a meaningful voice. To double your voting power, you must quadruple your token commitment; the cost of dominance rises exponentially.
